Original Ideas

Do such creatures even exist?

Joe and I have been working on an escape plan for one or (hopefully) both of us but every time we come up with an idea, it turns out it's been done before. I'm easily frustrated by this while he's more of a don't-give-up, keep-looking kind of guy.

Anyone have a truly genius idea they just don't have time to work on? I promise I'd give it a good home, whisper sweet nothings in its ear, buy it dinner. I'll even thank you in my memoirs when I'm rich and famous. And send you a fruit basket in appreciation!

P.S.: I hit 200 followers! I mean, I didn't punch them in the face. At least not all of them. Only the ones who deserved it.

You mean, your blog hasn't made you rich?!?!?! Darnit, I was counting on striking it rich by blogging. Just kidding. Unfortunately if I had any brilliant ideas right now, I would have to run with them myself, but I don't :(. I hope you find something soon.

congrats on 200 followers!!!! I know what you mean about original ideas; haven't found any either; nor have I found that the web will make you rich either, lots of scams out there though

hoping you find what you are looking for sooner than later

You mean you're trying to escape the "hum-drum workaday life"? I often think I need an "escape clause" in my contract. But I keep on truckin', 'cause that's what I do, I guess. Congrats on your following...I'm almost up to 100!

I'll see what I can come up with for you, but it's going to cost you.

Congrats on 200 people loving what you write (or at least tolerating it)! The only escape plans I have been able to pull off were the unintentional kind, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. =(

There. 201. Now you can casually say, "Oh, I have over 200 followers" as if it were no big deal.

If I come up with a money making idea, I'll be certain to test it for a couple years before sharing it with you. Just to make certain it works, you understand. ;)

I think what would work really well for the both of you is too come up with a plan that would teach "the others" how to escape. :) That is a strategy that has made a few rich. After all, it was the people who sold stuff to the 49ers who got rich, not the poor slobs in the river panning gold. "Everybody's looking for an escape plan." There you go... the title for your book, cd, dvd.

Hmm, I can't provide a truly genius idea without knowing a bit more. Thanks for the hit in the face by the way...

;)

All I can say is that we're in the process of moving. Moving church, moving job, moving home. For a variety of reasons, but we just had to do it, and it sure ain't easy, but it answers a lot of the problems we were having. Hope that helps?!

Woo hoo, 200! Sorry I don't have any million dollar ideas, but the follower thing is cool.

As one of the first 200 of your future more-than-10,000 followers, congratulations!

Two phrases came immediately to my mind after reading your post: "There is nothing new under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9) and yet we are also called to "sing to the Lord a new song." (Psalms 96:1, 98:1, 149:1, Isaiah 42:10)

It is not always something that has never been done before by another person, but something that has never been done before by YOU that turns the world around.

Oh Cate. I know this is an old post but I just got a fantastic(ally stupid?) idea that I'll just ignore:

Jelly that tastes like peanut butter. Or peanut butter that tastes like jelly. Makes so little sense it does, but at least (I think) it's original!

(200 followers! Woo!)
