Run, run! Save yourselves!!!

Today is "Panic Day". Am I the only person who finds it somewhat insulting that Panic Day follows International Women's Day?

First of all, International Women's Day happens to be the day we Spring forward so we already get ripped off by an hour. Oooh, let's honor women on the shortest day EVER!!! I mean, if you're sure it's completely necessary! Then! We follow it up with Panic Day.

I don't think this is a coincidence. Nor do I think it was the work of a woman. You just know men were behind this. They probably thought it was funny.

My point? Not really sure I have one today. Except that it's Panic Day and I have a rather un-fun doctor's appointment scheduled. So maybe I'm just whining.

Whatever, that's my random observation for the day. Sadly, it's all I've got.

By the way, it's also "Barbie Day" and "Napping Day". I don't know about that whole plastic perfection thing but the napping I'm totally down with. Maybe I'll do that instead of the doctor. Or maybe I can get the doctor to prescribe daily naps and working from home on my porch. That would be ten kinds of awesome.

Well, it makes sense that napping day follows the panic day which follows the women's day. Perfect sense.

Napping day! Fantastic! I love to nap. I am sure a nap will have more health benefits than a trip to the doctor. Most of the world's ills could be solved be a daily nap.

I wonder if I get presents on Panic day? I could use a bottle of gin to calm my nerves. ;-)

I've scheduled my Panic Day celebration freak out for this afternoon following a quick nap.

Does every day of the year have a designated theme?

Am I totally out of the loop of information on this?

What the hell. I am SO into napping day...it makes panic day more bearable.

I'll be doing the OPPOSITE of TMC; freaking out and THEN napping. Good luck at the doc's!

I am too tired from the time time change to honor panic day - that takes energy! So I will embrace the nap instead!

Smiles!

I kind of like the idea of Panic Day... do it and get it over with? Hmm...

Napping Day might be my new favorite holiday. In fact, I think I'll go lay down right now.

I say we boycott Panic Day and sign a petition for Nap Day - I am down with that.

I'm more concerned that panic day coincides with Barbie Day.

At least Panic day doesn't fall on Women's Day...that would be worse.

Hmm...Did you know Panic Day is also Employee Appreciation Day? :)

mo.stoneskin - panic always tires me out so the napping does make sense.

Ruby Isabella - I couldn't even get the doctor to prescribe a nap. Though I spent so long in the waiting room, I almost napped anyways!

Just a Chic - that's a great idea for a Panic Day gift.

TMC - resting up so you can panic that much more enthusiastically?

Andy - every day has at least a dozen stupid holidays.

Sassy Britches - also a good approach. You and TMC need to both report back as to which was more effective.

Imerie - time change is a perfect excuse for embracing the nap. Not that I need an excuse.

RAS - if only I could schedule panic for just one day a year!

Lyndsay - funny how excited everyone is over napping. Seems counter-productive.

blognut - Barbie seems like the panic-y sort. You know she must keep all kinds of goodies in those purses to keep herself calm.

Isabella - this is the story of my life. Of course I wouldn't know it's Employee Appreciation Day. Panic Day is so much more applicable! I'm going to demand my boss buys me some vodka!

I think this is just like all the other holidays that coincide on the same day: you choose which one to adopt. Out of these options, I'm picking Napping Day, easily.

I get to celebrate a little bit of panic day, every day. What would be really awesome is actually having time today to celebrate napping day. *sigh*

Snarky A - I prefer the "Get Over It Day" you posted about. Excellent!

Angie - that IS a lot of fake boobages!

Betty - Paraguay sounds like my kind of place. Thanks for stopping by!

MarjnHomer - I think I'd get bored if there was an entire napping month. But I'd gladly give it a try!

Juliet - that's what Joe said. "Every day is Panic Day with you!".
