What a maroon

Remember these previous gems from my boss, the drama llama?

Well if he talks about being sideblinded one more time, I'm going to punch him in the mouth.

And that's all I have to say because I'm feeling quite tired and this post is already late and I have a lot to do.

Look for brilliance tomorrow - or cat hair because I think Tonya's posting.

"Sideblinded"--I kind of like it. It makes absolutely no sense yet I know what he means. I may have to try to throw that into some conversations. ;)

Have you tried saying it back to him in conversation? It would be hilarious if he notices how wrong it sounds when someone else says it.

My personal favorite word wrong-ness:

"gits and shiggles", I use it all the time, and almost die laughing every time.

I missed your original post, but just went back and read it.

There are LOTS of people where I work who don't use correct grammar when writing. It's an epidemic. And just as bad are the bosses who approve the reports without requiring the corrections.

You have my sympathy. I'd find it very hard to keep my tongue behind my teeth. My personal bugbear is people who use 'of' as a verb as in 'You should of seen it', 'I may of been wrong' - it makes me want to scream! Another one is 'vunerable' instead of 'vuLnerable' - I could go on - but I won't.

While I hate bad grammar, I have to say I LOVE calling people Maroons! Back in my braver (ok so meaner) days I would do it loud enough for them to hear and they looked at me like I was the idiot. Lol.

As one of the world's biggest admirers of cat hair I'm extremely pleased. Tomorrow's post will be brilliant no matter what.

reminds me of the time I was telling a story and I was pretty pissed off when I was telling it and I used the phrase "set dead against it" when it should have been "dead set against it"...the person I was telling the story to burst out laughing and she told me what I'd said. Good thing she was a really good friend of mine or else I probably would have karate chopped her neck....

LOL I just read the original post... so funny!!! I cringe every time I get a you/your/you're problem, or the affect/effect disorder. Hmmm... I'm suddenly feeling inspired to write my own post now...

Sideblinded! Now that's a good one!
One of my old coworkers used to say things like, "don't put him on a pedastool..." and "that's a mute point!"
And these are people who communicate using the written word for a living. Made. Me. Insane.
