Desperation

Now I've done it. The ultimate in desperate moves. I reactivated my gym membership.

All I can hope is that a lot of people fall off equipment (without seriously injuring themselves), dress like hoochies, or sing loudly, oblivious that we can hear them. Because that would all be blog-worthy.

Me sweating and dying on the equipment? Not blog-worthy. And of course I would never sing along with my iPod. And I certainly never did the chicken dance (kinda in my mind) while running on the treadmill back in the day.

*Sigh* I'm tired and embarrassed already.

Anyone have some great songs to recommend for the elliptical?

well, Cate,

good luck with the restart.

meanwhile, this podcast is great for workouts; check it out:

Podrunner: Free Workout Music Mixes
Nice vocals help move you to a workout mix that starts off mellow, intensifies as you go, and has one of Podrunner's trademarked happy endings. ...

Good for you! I (kind of) miss being a gym member. I like to read while I do my cardio....

Good luck Cate!
I like to read while doing cario as well. Or watch mindless trash tv & listen to pop that normally would never make it to my iPod. Like Britney & Lady GaGa.

You just joined for the blog fodder, didn't you?

I like CCR and ABBA, but maybe that's a little weird and not for everybody (as far as treadmill music).

I don't know if you'd appreciate my work-out music at all. I listen to techno-electronica-weird stuff because it keeps me moving. That's the only time I listen to it, but it's the only thing that keeps me going when I'm trying to run and stay motivated. Try Darude or something equally as obnoxious. It'll fling you right off the eliptical and THAT would be blog-worthy. :)

Yikes! Well done, Cate, and now Bloggus Nuttus has put me to shame, saying that she works out too!

I need to get a grip! All the best to you x

It is a while since I last went to the gym but from what I remember they are nasty places. On the other hand if you keep an eye out you will no doubt see some great blog fodder. Fit a secret camera to a headband or something and film the whole thing.

good for you!! at our gym they have the TV sets so I catch up on the news when I'm there which is nice because its the only news I watch so if I don't make it to the gym, I'm sooo clueless with what is going on

good luck!!
