Tell me what to do

Lately, I'm struggling a bit for post topics. It's not a big deal; it just happens sometimes. But this entire week has been tough and this morning I've been staring at the blank page for far too long.

So I'm going to ask you all for ideas. Or questions. What do you want to see me write about? Anything you'd like to know about me? Interested in my thoughts on nuclear physics or bananas? No topic off-limits, no question too big or small*.

Post a question or topic or whatever in the comments and I'll work on addressing them next week.

I reserve the right to bend the truth lie practice being a politician depending on the nature of the question.

You have posted some about your current relationships with various family members; I'd like to hear more about what it was like growing up in the Call Me Cate household.

You don't seem to like where you currently work... what would you instead if the sky was the limit?

An entire post about how much you love blognut would be nice. :)

Don't worry so much. Post about nothing.
You can say a lot about nothing. I do it all the time.
Don't take my word for it; look what nothing did for Jerry Seinfeld.

Tell us what your most favorite book or movie (or both) is and why you love it . . . (You could also just fill a blog up with Simon pics . . .) :) Happy blogging!

ummmm, thinking here, because I know you are very private in what you share (rightly so). usually when people ask for blog ideas, I say talk about family, how you met hubby, sights in your city, etc. But these wouldn't be good for you. what about who inspired you when you were growing up. or why you chose what you chose as your career. favorite college activity?

just throwing ideas out..........

enjoy the weekend

What is it about writing that you love so much? If you wrote a book what would you call it and what would it be about (as your first book)?
Compare Holidays past to Holidays present what do you want to change what will stay the same?
Call Me Cate family traditions that you just can live without?
Your favorite movie and why it's your favorite.
What do you do to pass time? (we have family game nights that can end badly depending on who's losing and what mood we are in lol)
Memories of then and now, past and present. Be it holiday related or random.

The thing about writers block is more that it's a you thing than a block thing. At least for me this is true. I get it stuck in my head that no one will want to read about the mundane things in my life, my struggles and my dreams. But then I remember that this is a BLOG about ME. And with your "follow" list someone somewhere WILL read it, even if you think it's uninteresting or what not. But writing is so much a part of us that we get stuck on the "what next" part. Watch a movie, read a book, watch the news, play a game just STOP thinking about writing and something will come to you. This isnt school and we arent grading you, we love you for who you are, therefore like a mother loves her child no matter what they do, we will love you no matter what you write. And who knows maybe you'll inspire us to write about whatever topic you picked that day! I've found that the blogs I struggled over and assumed no one would read get more comments than the ones I pour over and expect comments for lol.

write about the first thing that comes into your mind, no planing, just write it. and you will see what a good piece will evolve. if not, write about the best thing that ever happened to you and the worst.

Just relax - let your mind roam free and see what your dreams (nightmares??) inspire . . .

What made you start to blog???

Must be that time of year. I am, too and I've read similar things on several blogs this week.

OOooo Margaret has a good one! (Just popping in again to say . . . if you don't mind I might steal one or two of these ideas. I'm also feeling dry lately and everyone here is very creative!)

Thank you for all of the fantastic suggestions. Expect to see a lot of them coming up. I think I've spread myself too thin right now and unfortunately this blog is one of the areas showing a bit of wear from it.

Next week, I plan to be back and better than ever! But please forgive a possibly sucky Sunday post in the meantime...
