Ok, so you were all right

Today's post is a fantastic story about love and sunshine. Kittens and lollipops. Rainbows and Nutella.

Yeah, right.

Yesterday, I did something dumb. Not "omg we're all gonna die!!!" dumb. Just "wow, could I be any dumber?" dumb.

This resulted in a panic attack. At work. Great, here we go again.

Only this time, instead of huffing and puffing and sweating and freaking out and crawling under my desk to lick my elbows, I took half a xanax.

Within twenty minutes, I felt almost completely calm. Maybe a teensy bit drowsy but mostly just calmer.

Huh, should've listened to you all a week ago. I feel better already knowing I'll have my new best friend with me on vacation.

Gosh, I don't think I've ever been a participatory factor in a real-life panic attack before. I was worried all yesterday. :(

SO glad!! Nothing wrong with bumpin' those chemicals back to where they should be.

Yaya - me too!!!

TMC - It wasn't my fault, it was mine. Sorry to worry you.

Wife O Riley - I do hope that just knowing I have another remedy will help me not to even need it.

Andy - I don't recommend mixing kittens and Nutella. It's like kids and koolaid.

C. Beth - I'd love to do it without chemicals but if my own are out of alignment, I'm not against fixing them at this point.

Nutella? Hold on while I finish gagging.

Okay, better now. So I'm glad you got all calm now but come on, you left out the most important part of the story...what dumb thing did you do?

Spill it.

Yay! Just knowing that you have your little magic pill will make your upcoming family vacation SO much easier.

So glad you tried it out and now you KNOW it will work - so maybe a little less anxiety about vacay just having that knowledge?

To quote GIJoe: "Knowing is half the battle." :)

I once knew a kitten that was frollicking about in the sunshine one day, spotted a rainbow (it was one of those crazy rain and shine days), danced off to find the source and fell into a jar of Nutella. The kitten survived but took a week to come down from the sugar-high.

Grand Pooba - You don't like Nutella? Dead to me!!! Ok, not really. And I shall never reveal what I did. NEVER!!!

Blognut - Yes, and I'm not sharing with anyone. Mine mine mine.

RAS - That GIJoe was a smart guy. I do think just knowing it's there and works will help a lot.

Snarky - And I'm happy for you!

Joanne - Thanks!

Mo - That poor kitten. And what a waste of Nutella.

Glad it worked.

Aren't they grand? I find that just knowing I have them is sometimes (SOMETIMES) as good as taking one.

That alprazolam is wonderful stuff. Happy that it performed for you under battle conditions.

Armed with just the right cocktail or pharmaceuticals your week away with the family could actually be pleasant.... Nahhh.. but doable for sure!

Hope you are better today and sending you nutella-covered kitten hugs.... Ewwww.

Juliet Colors - Thank you. The Lexapro has done wonders for me on a day-to-day basis but this is a great momentary remedy.

jenna - Oh, believe me, I no longer leave home without it!

Together We Save - Thanks. And thanks for visiting.

Jenn - It does feel like a bit of a security blanket.

TM - I'm glad it tested out well!

PetalsYoga - As long as it's survivable, I'll be happy. And hey, nutella-covered kitten hugs are always welcome!
