Six Word Saturday

can't blog when I'm so stressed

I did get my quiet weekend last time around. And I should get another this weekend. But I feel so unstable right now - I'm up, down, all over the place. There are things happening - potentially GOOD things - which means change which means I'm completely unfocused until things are more settled. And so the blogging plan falls apart.

Want to play along? All that's necessary to participate is to describe your life (or something) in a phrase using just six words. For more information, try clicking here. Feel free to explain or not explain. Add an image, a video, a song, nothing. I love seeing what everyone does with their entries.

Each week (probably on Sunday or Monday), I use random.org to select a bunch of entries to visit.  Or I visit everyone. Or even numbered entries. Or odd numbered entries. Or multiples of three. Depends on what's going on that week.  In addition, please visit the person ahead of you on the list (or visit everyone if you like!). That way everyone receives at least one visit!

If you play along in your blog, please add a link to the Mr. Linky. I appreciate a link back (shiny code below if you like!). Otherwise, you're welcome to leave your six words in this post as a comment.

Please be sure to link either to your main page or (preferably) directly to the 6WS post. Links to blogs that do not contain a 6WS entry will be removed (sorry, just the button in the sidebar doesn't count as participating).

Stress does have a nasty habit of making plans--and people--fall apart. Hope you AND your plans are back together soon!

Blogging takes a lot of time and energy. Do what's right for you. If it means "time off" so be it. Much as I've enjoyed this process, there are more important things. We can catch up later.

hope you have a lovely quiet restful and recuperating weekend ... and forget the blogging ... we'll still be here when you get back! :)

I am sorry, Cate. Like putting on a happy face when you aren't happy, one can't do that for long. Last night I looked for (I usually do) your weekly goings on and saw silence. Before last week a lot of topsy turvy stuff was going on for you.

We understand and really appreciate your being here for us this morning. Your basics and safety come first and one can't be very creative when your mind is on taking care of these needs.

Time for yourself is needed now. If you need time out for next week or more we understamd. Take as long as you need but remember that we are here when some diversion will help again.

Wish you could paint, it is so relaxing and has helped my stress and depression so much. Why don't you just try it? Thinking of you lots. xxx

Times are stressful and it is hard to keep our own act together when the rest of the world is falling apart. It sounds like some good things are in the offing though. Take a deep breath and remember, "this too shall pass". You will be fine because you have the means to make that happen. I wish you the best ... it is time for you! Do what ever you have to do.

I can totally relate. Hopefully everything going on falls into place soon so you can stablize. Try and get some R&R.

Sometimes I can't blog when I'm not stressed...but I know what you mean! It's hard to put thoughts down when they are zooming around in your head 90 miles per hour, and you just can't catch them long enough to form a sentence that makes sense. I hope everything calms down for you soon.

Just take the time you need, Cate. Sending over a calming hug and herbal tea. Just in case.
Have a sunny weekend,

It's weird how the times when we could probably most benefit from sitting down and writing are the times when we find it difficult to do. You'll rally and get back to where you want to be. You always do. : )

There's that whole idea in psychology that good change is stressful, just as bad change is. I'm glad there are good things going on, and I hope things settle down for you soon.

It's OK to take time off.

Personally, blogging is a relief and release when I'm stressed .. but we're all different.

6 60 or 600 words. It's all good. Take care.
