Giving myself permission to slow down
Let's have a quick chat about what this means. I love reading all of your Six Word Saturday entries. I just never imagined there would be so many of them! So rather than fly through them, barely even reading them or beating myself up because I didn't spend the whole weekend making the rounds, I need to change how I visit.
I'll still be visiting all entries. But in order to keep myself from a complete mental breakdown, I'm going to visit them throughout the week. Hopefully sooner rather than later. This way, I can actually take a few minutes to enjoy and leave a comment.
Thank you all for spreading this little idea and making it so much fun.
All that's necessary to participate is to post your own six words. You can post an explanation if you wish but it's certainly not required. If you play along in your blog, please add a link to the Mr. Linky. I appreciate a link back (shiny code below if you like!) but I'm not going to delete your entry or punch you in the face if you don't. Otherwise, you're welcome to leave your six words in this post as a comment.

You've given yourself permission - make sure you use it! (Sorry, once a teacher, always a teacher . . . :-/)
Hi Cate, yes, you do need to slow down. Especially us 6WS'ers because there are so many nice blogs for you to visit.
Happy 6WS! Thank you! Please don't stop hosting, you can skip visiting mine any week you wish.
..
What a great idea, Cate! And, as always, thanks so much for hosting. Little did you know how much all of us could say in Just Six Words...
definitely!
Here, you deserve a break. ***relinquishes cushy, over-stuffed chair and offers a bowl of Warm Fuzzies (<--a new comfort food distributed by Post Cereals, of course, that promises relief from stress, bloggy or otherwise) with a cup-of-kindess chaser*** It can be a mad, mad, mad, mad world, that's for sure.
WORDS TO LIVE BY: Never "should" on yourself.
Good for you!
I completely understand! It takes me forever to get around to visiting all these wonderful jobs. Until someone pays me to do so, or I win the lottery, I have to pace myself.
Happy 6WS!
I think that's a good idea. No need for anybody to be stressed...it's supposed to be fun!
I think it's a good idea.
Happy 6WS

Great idea, Cate! Slow down and enjoy life--and I don't think anyone will beat you up if you miss visiting their post! Thanks for hosting this, and FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT the participants. I was always impressed by that, as I know it takes much time. I enjoy your blog! Blessings, Kathy
Your six word idea is fun (I actually remembered to play this week) and your visiting idea is a wise one.
Silly Saturday #7 - Charm or Chores?
I think it's cool that you even try to see them all. Thanks for making a fun Saturday (every week!)
I just found you this week and I love this idea and BTW I need to take your 6WS into consideration. Except I want to spend more time on my blog and let everything else go! Lol
Hi Cate!
I don't do 6WS (but wish I did) and just wanted to thank you for hosting this - I've really enjoyed a lot of the blogs that the folks that do play along.

Good for you Cate - that's a brilliant idea! (I always wondered how you had time to do anything else on the weekend with all of us that are addicted to doing Six Words every week!)
totally wise idea Cate! It has grown so much too! that's why I don't participate in it weekly since I do like to look at all the other people's entries and it does take a lot of time to "do it right" if you know what I mean. I know you are like me, we don't like to do "fly by comments" but we like to stop and think and actually write something of meaning
so definitely give yourself permission to do so!
betty
I know exactly what you mean!
I have had to do the same thing. I applaud you for recognizing and acting on that!
Today is my first time participating. Thanks for hosting!
very good idea... actually slowing down at times in life is such a blessing :)
Thanks, Cate, for inviting us to participate. I love the idea. I don't know where you find the time to do all that you do! No wonder you need to give yourself permission to slow down!
i believe it's important to give us such permissions. i hope you are able to slow down... especially during this season of trying to get it all done.
i think it's a great idea to visit everyone through the week. i thank you for wanting to spend time with each of us and getting to know the person behind the words.
That is a Great idea Cate!!!
Take it easy Girl!

live laugh love. six word saturday
Slowing down is never an issue for me....and I'd probably need more than permission to make me speed up. lol
good for you!
I'm glad you decided to do this for yourself.....I enjoy 6WS so much, I would hate for it to be the cause of your stress.
That is a great idea for visiting throughout the week! Have a great Saturday!
I just now remembered to post my Mr. Linky.
I'm glad you're giving yourself permission to slow down. As long as you visit mine within 90 seconds of me posting it. In fact, is there a way for you to set your computer up to trigger an alarm clock when my blog posts are published? That's what I think you should do.
I've been retired for almost a year now, and have never been busier. What retirement has done is to give me more time to do the things I want, and the chance to be a bit more leisurely about it. But it still seems like I'm running constantly, and haven't completed the things I want to.
I guess this is the human condition.
Cheers!
