STARTING 4/8/17: Six Word Saturday is now being hosted by the lovely Debbie at Travel With Intent.

Six Word Saturday

Here's how it works - describe your life (or something) in a phrase using just six words. For more information, try clicking here.

My six words:

Those "perfect" people make me uncomfortable

All that's necessary to participate is to post your own six words. If you do so in your blog, please add a link to the Mr. Linky. I appreciate a link back (shiny code below if you like!) but I'm not going to delete your entry or punch you in the face if you don't. Otherwise, you're welcome to leave your six words in the post as a comment.

Don't let them

In this instance, I would have to substitute the word "uncomfortable" with "sick." All those "perfects" can get on a person's last nerve. Just got to shake them off like you're a wet dog. And, if that doesn't work, BITE 'EM! LOL! (Sounds like we're both trying to make the best of this weekend, huh?)

When I get this feeling (unsolicited advice forthcoming...), I channel our good friend Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Works every time. :)

I just had dinner with perfection!

I stumbled across your meme while participating in Sky Watch and thought I'd join you. This is a great concept!

I prefer to think that there "are no perfect people" ;)

Have a super day!

I don't let them bother me either. I just learned not to waste my energy on thinking about it.

Happy 6WS!

I've NEVER liked those matchy-matchy folks! As it is now, I'm in my traveling clothes...blue jeans and a concert T!

Perfect people are fake.

I just couldn't stay up for 6WS. :P I had to sleep, I have a long day ahead of me!! :)

I'm always afraid that one of these days, the effort of pretending to be "perfect" is going to catch up with them. And then they'll explode.

I don't want to be in proximity when that happens. Nobody is perfect, it must be exhausting to put on the front.

I really know what you mean!

'perfect people' always end up being the craziest of them all.

Just say Julie said...

I know the uncomfort of which you speak. we'll just leave it at that for this morning, cause it would take way more than six words for me on this topic.
Thanks for hosting!

Happy Saturday girl! I remembered what day of the week it was so I could join in! The brain seems to be functioning today!

I know a "perfect" person who I think deep down inside wants to be more like me (slightly irregular - like those tags you see on marked-down clothes) but she just can't do it. The struggle she encounters makes me all the more happy to be just who I am!

I've been waiting for this one ALL WEEK!!!!

the mouse pad on the boyfriends laptop isn't working so i've had to figure out how to use the freakin' keys instead.

too much for my brain today.

and i love how you put "PERFECT" in quotes.

'cause there isn't such a thing as a perfect person...it's their own self perception that makes them think they're all that and a bag of chips.

really they are just a big bag of cauliflower.

andy

p.s. cauliflower metaphor used because i hate cauliflower.

p.p.s. did you like how i used all the proper versions of their, there, and they're?

p.p.p.s. me too.

They are really not as perfect as they try to make people believe.

I totally agree with you, Cate; it must be exhausting to pretend all the time.

C. Beth said...

They may be perfect at pretending, but probably not perfect in any other way....

Rochelle said...

Ohhh Cate, I make you uncomfortable?!? Ha ha! You KNOW I'm kidding. ;->

Renata said...

Ugh, so true.

Your blog is awesome! :)

Megan said...

I agree with someone else...there are no "perfect" people. It's all in their head.

Buffie said...

Quite frankly they scare me, but I figure that for them to act that way their life must be lacking something.

Juniper Saltus said...

Oh they make me uncomfortable, too! I totally get what you mean by this!

Kat said...

Good thing I am FAR from perfect :)

Drahdrah said...

No such thing as perfect, and I am sure behind closed doors they are more dysfunctional than any of us less perfect beings !
